Update: Updating to Firefox 2.0.0.8-2 fixes this problem.
I upgraded from Firefox 2.0.0.7 to 2.0.0.8 and am now experiencing some strange font problems. The font spacing is completely messed up in 2.0.0.8. Anyone else experiencing this?
Here's how it looks in 2.0.0.8:
Here's how it looks in 2.0.0.7 (I downgraded the package):

I don't get this problem. After ~15 mins. surfing ~20 websites, everything looks fine. Is firefox the only thing you updated (or did you yes | pacman -Syu)?

I get the font problem in this site http://mozdev.org/

I also performed a pacman -Syu. I noticed that it also upgraded the pango font internationalization library. Perhaps that might be the cause, since the spacing is modified when I tried switching the character encoding on a webpage.

This should be fixed in the next firefox upgrade which according to the main pages is rolling out now. See this for more info on what happened http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/8352 .
