Anyone else got problems with xorg after the new update?

Hi,
I wonder if there is anyone else out there who got a problem after updating the xorg server lately.
The last Update crashed my entire xorg environment. Every time I tried to open a program the window showed up for just a second and disappeared  with an "The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'." error.
This error accrued by at least 99% of the programs I tried to open (including simple programs like kwrite or xeyes, Firefox screw up, too).
I fixed it by compiling the xorg-server myself. Wired is that I used the official Archlinux PKGBUILD (I just incremented the pkgrel version) without minor changes and its working properly, so the bug must be by the developer who compiled it.
Did anyone get a similar problem?

There are a lot of posts here already and some bug reports too...

Edit: Weird that you just recompiled though...

VLC doesn't work for me.  Firefox works fine.

I do, aside from VLC not working, I get a huge slowdown with composite enabled - weird thing is that Ubuntu had the same problem a few days ago.

You incremented the pkgrel from what to what?

pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))

Re: Anyone else got problems with xorg after the new update?

I've just encountered the VLC bug but haven't had any other problems. I'm trying a recompile now; I don't see the necessity to increment the pkgrel because if pacman sees the same package version and pkgrel it won't overwrite your compiled version afaik.

edit: Re-compiling vlc and xorg-server made no difference. It's not a big deal though I have plenty of ways to watch videos.
