I just ran into the same issue.  I just removed:

# rm /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1

and started pacman -Syu again, problem gone, and update went smoothly from there on.

Re: conflict in last upgrade > /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1

Same here. The interesting part is, that this file does not belong to any package (that is what pacman -Qo says). This is also the reason why I kind of hope that removing it is okay. It might have been left from some old installation that wasn't completely correct.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

rm in the file works with me, but... Sorry for my noob question, what it means do a -Sf in the package?

-f, --force          force install, overwrite conflicting files

I had the same problem, removed /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1 and it upgraded without issues.

Also didn't had problems starting X11 after the update.

Re: conflict in last upgrade > /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1

/usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1 is just a link to /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA.so.100.14.19 so erasing the link should solve the problem? I should still keep libXvMCNVIDIA.so.100.14.19
