Can't update archlinux anymore. (some conflicts or something.. )

Hello,

Today I typt pacman -Syu and guess what? He didn't do a thing after downloading all the packages sad

error: could not prepare transaction
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
nvidia-utils: /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1 exists in filesystem
filesystem: /etc/profile exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
[root@WernerPC werner]# pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1
error: No package owns /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1
[root@WernerPC werner]# pacman -Qo /etc/profile
error: No package owns /etc/profile
[root@WernerPC werner]#

Never had this before, I need to delete those 2 files or what? smile I'm not sure so I just decided to ask here for some help. :-)

there are lots of threads with your problem.

the fix is to delete that file.
rm /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA_dynamic.so.1
