Arch going German

I am sure there has already been a post about this, but what are the English-only speaking people supposed to do? No, learning German is not an option right now. Will we still be able to post in English here for help? If not, where? Also, I just installed Arch (English obviously). Will any future upgrades change the language to German? Will pacman stop using English commands? How will this effect an English only speaking individual? Thanks.

Re: Arch going German

I have no idea why people are laughing at this man's post. This is a big issue for us english-born people, I don't care how easy it is to learn. I will switch to another distro if they change arch linux itself to be all german.

edit:

ok now i understand......haha, but it's still april 1 where i am

Re: Arch going German

this is really great...crap...Arch is my favorite distro and now it's default is a language I don't understand?  I can sort of pick out the meaning of a lot of German words, but for the most part i can't.  I hope this switch doesn't affect my opinion of arch.  I don't wanna have to use Ubuntu, as I truly feel Arch is better.  Don't laugh at him or me guys, really...will the English forum be as helpful, or have I simply been receiving help from Germans all this time in English?

They won't change the whole distro to be only german...they'll just make this site German.  And maybe a new install of Arch will default to german...but it can be changed.  Still, i think it'll be harder to get help if i don't get it from here.  plus...people who speak english as their first language are dumb, like me, and don't know any other languages...I'll be almost all of the german speakers on this site are bilingual and would have and have had less problem with speaking English than we would speaking German.

I hope you're right.....Lol i take my linux seriously and don't like "april fools"  just makes me mad....

#EDIT#
It is most definitly a joke.  One that spawns from the first day of the fourth month when people sometimes play jokes on eachother.  I know becuase when I typed said day into my previous post, it changed itself into long live germany.  I think this is good reason to believe it's a trick.

Crux. By the description on the respective site's you'd think Arch and Crux are identical.
