/usr/share/eclipse/eclipse vs eclipse

Any one knows the actual difference between the two? When I try to launch eclipse from menu or by typing

/usr/share/eclipse/eclipse

it hangs on code completion. But

eclipse

from command line or quick launch works

Hi, I did some research, it turns out if I launch by typing

/usr/share/eclipse/eclipse

I've got doubled entry

/usr/lib/firefox-2.0.0.13

in

java.library.path

which leads to the freeze. How will

java.library.path

be determined? I have only one firefox installed.
