"unzip bcel-5.2.zip" gives correctly extracted files
"bsdtar -x -f bcel-5.2.zip" gives all files empty.

Without the -f bsdtar believes you want to use the default tape, usually /dev/st0.

It works fine with bsdtar 2.6
