It's quite clear that the Pidgin developers don't want to add voice/video support to Pidgin, but some patches are provided here: http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/34 (see Attachments).
Is anyone willing to make a Pidgin-vv package with those patches applied?
I don't have the time now, but if no one picks this up i will do it ASAP.
