There's the 2007.8 version and the 2008.4 version (which is RC). Is the RC stable enough to be selling? Or how long will it be until the final release is released?
So which version do you recommend I should sell now? The old version or the newer one?

sell??
what do you mean, SELL?

well if we don't go off the deep end with the TS own words... I am sure what he went was, which version of arch does he 'SELL' or talk someone else into using.
That case, from my understanding the RC release is good enough and seems to be in great working order from my stand point. I think they where just waiting to see if there where any major problems before releasing it as a final cut. Though the dev crew could explain more.

Well, sell can mean to recommend or encourage... as in which version do I recommend people to use to install arch with?
But I believe that miggols99 actually refers to which version to physically sell, at this software shop: http://shop.archux.com/

Seeing that the 2007.08 ftp iso won't work without hacking, and the core is realy outdated, I can't see a single reason to burn/press and sell 2007.08 cd's
2008.03 or 2008.04 is far superior.

A release will be out when the new kernel gets pushed to core, because that's our release schedule.
The suggestion box only accepts patches.

I installed Arch one and half month ago with 2008.04
2007.08 was not working, and is also quite outdated.
I'd suggest 2008.04

okay, so here in the UK "sell" means to offer for financial comittment/
if we mean "sell" as in "promote" then no probs -- just that open source is ... well ... open , the purists will surely raise an eyebrow at the use of "sell".

No, open source is "free as in free speech, not as in free beer". I thought this cliche was getting old, but it always needs reminding
Even Stallman used to sell copies of Emacs. Selling is good for people who want a physical copy of the program/OS, and for those who don't have a fast internet connection (of course you could argue that Arch is not ideal for such situations). What matters is that the software is freely (re)distributable (i.e. no restrictions), through any means.
