Hi all,
I know I am not a very active member here on the forums, but I read around
I have noticed the new USBlive installer, I have also noticed the Archlive CD version by the member Godane (good job mate! Thanks)
But I am wondering currently, can we have an official live Archlinux on CDs and and USBs?
I have been using BackTrack3 for some time now and I am sure I would be much more comfortable with Archlinux Live

It's on the way. If you're impatient, you can use the archiso scripts to create your own:

The current installer images are created this way.

There's a hacky proof of concept xfce4 CD I made back in october using those scripts. It's basically just xfce4, firefox, and pidgin. If you're interested you can find it at http://dev.archlinux.org/~simo/archiso_ … 345984.iso
The suggestion box only accepts patches.

i have made a archlinux live cd called arch-live.
http://arch-live.isawsome.net/iso/20080 … 080514.iso
This will boot of a usb key. I added the kernel from slax 6.0.6 so it would work with the linux-live scripts. This is cause the linux-live scripts needs to use the older initrd system to work.
There is no installer for it yet through. But since its based on slax modular design it should be easier to emulate a installed system on usb key.
I hope you like my live cd.
EDIT: Didn't read the whole first post be for i posted this.
Also I'm work on a kernel26livecd package for aur. Its going to be based on a custom slax config with archlinux patches for 2.6.25.4. I also adding aufs and a lzma option to squashfs for kernel26livecd package too.
