Hello,
I updated my system, using pacman -Syu and encountered the following warning:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
unstable is up to date
archlinuxve is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
warning: initscripts-splash: local (2008.05-6) is newer than community (2007.11-1)
local database is up to date
What does it mean? And how can I fix it?

I kind of fixed it: I just removed it, I'm not sure if it is a bug, but before this happend I removed the "splashy" package and did a system update, after this I noticed this warning when searching for some packages.

ah well, in case you got this message again, typically it is nothing to worry about. Most of the times it is when a dev/TU decides it is a good idea to downgrade the package. It may also appear when you've swithced mirrors and your new mirror is a bit behind the mirror you were using (you know syncing times).
If you are unsure, check via the archlinux/AUR frontend what the up2date version of the particular should be and decide if you want to downgrade or not.

It can also happens if you create a newer package from ABS, and then install it over one in the repositories.
For example, I have:
warning: wine: local (1.0-1) is newer than extra (0.9.61-1)
From where I installed Wine 1.0, after making a new package through ABS.
