Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

Know what's funny? I was just talking to a friend about Arch needing something like this yesterday. If you hadn't started it, I would have soon. tongue

Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

Nice work!
As a suggestion, does the site have a feature to categorize the screenshots (KDE, GNOME, Openbox, Fluxbox, etc.) beside the search option?

Language on the site depends on your browser agent/whatnot.
Just tested it.

Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

You badly need a spam filter of some sort... hmm
Very nice to see what the different WMs and DEs look like, KDEmod4.1 looks superb. Keep the screenshots coming people!

Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

I would actually recommend Menalto Gallery.  Coppermine can be quiet tedious, and the spam protection isn't up to par (as seen on the current site).  Plus you can embed it quite easily with some of the popular content management systems if you wish to expand what the site has to offer.

I think it's a good idea though.  I've done some work with sites like this, so I am offering any assistance if it is needed. smile

Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

Hi, nice website, but definitely do something about the spam comments! The account creation without having to activate an email link, and without captcha, may have something to do with it.

Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

Can't you just open the pictures in a new window/tab without the window resizing ? That really sucks smile
Otherwise, great site and yes, you should do something about the spam wink

Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

Definetly needs a spam filter. It is rediculous. At this point, I feel like I wasted time uploading my screenshots and the wallpaper I made.

Thanks and please fix this since it gives a bad name to Archlinux.

Re: Archlinuxgallery.com

There needs to be beautiful women with the arch logo for the wallpapers. I'm so used to seeing women somewhat related to linux (especially Ubuntu) wearing very revealing clothing who are also big chested. Arch should start mixing the women and their logo togethor.

I'd have to agree, at least take the time to get rid of the obvious spambot posts sad

I'd ask for the mods to "unsticky" this until it's cleaned up.  The OP definitely isn't spending any time on his own site or this would have been taken care of by now.
What should/could be a valuable asset to the community, looks like a trainwreck now.
