Hi there:
Under Ubuntu I can set-up Evolution to send/receive email from my hotmail account by using hotwayd and hotsmptd. I see that hotwayd is available through AUR, but the other isn't, therefore I'm uncertain if the same method I used under Ubuntu would work under ArchLinux. It would be appreciated if someone could provide some hints as to what to do.
Thank you!

with getlive (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=16169) you can download your emails like any other account and then open them with any mail client

Thanks aswell I'm going to try that now.
I currently use freepops. Works OK sometimes, sometimes acts up/redownloads half my email
Edit: How do you configure Getlive to work as described above?

you need to create the ~/.getliverc file like this
Mode = 200810
UserName = username
Password = password
Domain = hotmail.com
#Prox = ProxyServer if you're behind one.
#ProxyAuth = ProxyPassword if you're behind one with password.
# Now we keep track of all id's of messages that were fetched already
#Downloaded = /home/username/bin/getlive/fetched
#If Yes only messages that are marked unread are fetched. Downloaded and FetchOnlyUnread are mutual exclusive.
FetchOnlyUnread = Yes
RetryLimit = 2
CurlBin = curl -k
#The distribution contains also SmtpForward.pl and SmtpAuthForward.pl. Those can be used as 'Processor' to forward the mails to an SMTP server.
Processor = /usr/bin/procmail
#This option must be repeated for each folder you want to fetch. If this option is not present then all folders will be fetched.
#Folder = FolderName. Folders that need to be fetched.
#Whether the message will be marked read after being downloaded. By the way, it never gets marked in any way when not downloaded due to it being already in the Downloaded = SomeFileName (see higer) file.
MarkRead = No
Delete = No
#MoveToFolder = FolderName or @FileName
Go to your account and switch of the reading pane. (If you go to your inbox you should see something which is similar to the old hotmail and not a reading pane somewhere right or below).
it's forum help me lot of times, when hotmail change folder layout or
