[SOLVED] KDE4 Java problem

ok, so every time i use a java based application like eclipse or openoffice, it really screws with kde, making certain things draw wrong, or colors get inverted, that kind of thing.  i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or only me.  if only me, can someone point me in the right direction to get this fixed.  thnx

Re: [SOLVED] KDE4 Java problem

I have that problem too, I heard rumors it is related to nvidia drivers... Do you have a nvidia graphics card and do you use the drivers?
I heard rumors it is fixed in the 180.xx beta version of the drivers, however I don't recall where anymore, I thought on the nvidia
forums.

My setup:

[rjprinse@optimus ~]$ lspci | grep -i geforce
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G70 [GeForce 7600 GS] (rev a1)

[rjprinse@optimus ~]$ pacman -Qs nvidia
local/nvidia 177.82-1
    NVIDIA drivers for kernel26.
local/nvidia-utils 177.82-1
    NVIDIA drivers utilities and libraries.

Re: [SOLVED] KDE4 Java problem

well, we are pretty much running the same thing then...

bash-3.2# lspci | grep -i geforce
01:09.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV44A [GeForce 6200] (rev a1)

and im running the 177.82 driver straight from nvidias website.  ill upgrade to the newest beta and see if that helps any...
