[Solved] Running VirtualBox on radeon driver

Hi, is there a way to run VirtualBox when the host machine is using the radeon driver in its xorg configuration?

I have a 64-bit installation, and when I was trying to run a VM on VirtualBox, it only showed a blank window. When the program displays a dialog, the screen does display some contents, although a bit blurry. This, and some old threads on the net made me try using the vesa driver in xorg.conf. Now the VM is displayed perfectly on VirtualBox, but I'd like to be able to keep using the radeon driver. Google only gave veeeery unrelated results, and nothing specific to this driver or why vesa is recommended.

Is there anything I should try other than waiting for the radeon driver or VirtualBox to get updated? Is this a bug or a configuration error on my part? Any ideas?

I don't know how much overlap there is between cards supported by the radeon driver and by the radeonhd driver, but I'm successfully running VirtualBox with radeonhd on the host machine (and getting better performance in VirtualBox than with fglrx).

Are you using the drm module (from here http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=24235 ) to get dri and xv working?

Re: [Solved] Running VirtualBox on radeon driver

@Arisna: I tried the radeonhd driver, but my card isn's supported.

@R00KIE: I installed the xf86-video-ati-git and drm-radeon-module-git-r6xx-r7xx packages with yaourt and it worked! I wouldn't even have guessed those packages existed.

Thank you both for your help!
