Sorry for the messy title .
Burning DVDs started to fail today for no obvious reason . I was hit by the error described in this bug :

The same error popped up in both brasero & xfburn .
I suspected my bleeding edge kernel (2.6.30-rc3-git7 & now updated to latest git) but It
wasn't (I burned DVDs successfully before with the same kernel).
I suspected mounting /tmp as tmpfs but It wasn't it either (I burned tons of DVDs with /tmp mounted as tmpfs) .
Surprisingly (Is it really a surprise ?) , Replacing cdrkit with cdrtools solved the error and burning with brasero works again .
