Rhythmbox isn't "seeing" audio CDs

Here's the error that appears when I start rhythmbox:

(rhythmbox:4195): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstofa.so': libofa.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/artdisplay/__init__.py:143: Warning: Missing artwork icon not found: Unrecognized image file format
warn ("Missing artwork icon not found: %s" % e, Warning)

(rhythmbox:4194): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to grab media player keys: Could not get owner of name 'org.gnome.SettingsDaemon': no such name

When rhythmbox starts up the optical drive starts spinning and then stops. Yet, there is no sign of the Audio CD appearing in rhythmbox. I tried several different Audio CDs that all play normally when I point VLC to them.

I have all the gstreamer plugins installed.

I am using awesome wm.

Re: Rhythmbox isn't "seeing" audio CDs

I am bumping this topic. No one replied, so I'm giving it another chance.

I don't know what amount of time needs to pass before I do this, hopefully a mod will tell me.

Have to install extra/libofa. Why it isn't dependency?

Re: Rhythmbox isn't "seeing" audio CDs

Installing libofa doesn't solve my problem.

Now I get this error:

(rhythmbox:15648): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to grab media player keys: Could not get owner of name 'org.gnome.SettingsDaemon': no such name

Re: Rhythmbox isn't "seeing" audio CDs

Slightly sleepy here, so forgive anything silly..

That isn't an error, it's just a warning.. don't think it's related..

Is hal installed and running as a daemon? How about dbus? I think hal, udev, or dbus has something to do with rhythmbox's detection of cd's.. though I could be mistaken..

Re: Rhythmbox isn't "seeing" audio CDs

Yes, both hal and dbus are installed and running.

What's odd, though, is that SoundJuicer recognises that the CD is in the tray and can rip it without problem...
