How to install PPP.2.4.4-60x86_64.pkg package

Hello everyone. I will install in my Arch Linux 2008.06 x86_64 operating system my ADSL modem and exactly it's Sagem F@st 800 USB, but I haven't in my system the PPP package installed and I don't know how can I install it. I tried with ' pacman -A ppp-2.4.4-x86_64.pkg ' but there appeared some errors and now I don't what can  do else. Please help me! For every kind of help I thank everyone very much. Regerds and goodbye.

Maybe use "man pacman" before to learn commands?

pacman -U ppp-2.4.4-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz if you have it on disk downloaded earlier.
