Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

Looks like the package is either missing a dependency or it's an upstream bug. I'd ask the AUR maintainer or upstream.

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

Has anyone any info' on the PlaneShift errors?

I used to be surprised that I was still surprised by my own stupidity, finding it strangely refreshing.
Well, now I don't find it refreshing.
I'm over it!

I've fixed the package (now at 3.121-2), and also changed the arch to 'any'. This seems to not work great with arch-games though. It's uploaded (see: ftp://mirror.selfnet.de/arch-games/any/ … pkg.tar.xz ), but I still see this when I update:

warning: fretsonfire-alarian-mod: local (3.121-2) is newer than arch-games (3.121-1)

I read some bug report on the bug tracker about better support for 'any' packages, but can't see it right now since the site is down (at least for me? Is it for anyone else?) Not sure how to fix it TBH. Install it form AUR (or from the package I linked above) and it should work.

EDIT: Looking at how the Arch repos do it, all the package in the any folder should be symlinked to both the x86_64 and i686 directories, and all the files from any be added in the db file along with all the other packages. That's all that needs to be done for things to work like they should (though they're probably all aware of how to fix it, again I still can't see the bug report or what it says).

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

http://archlinux-gaming.org/ has been timing out for me for a couple of days now.

Is it gone permanently?  Or should I hold out for a bit before switching to  ftp://mirror.selfnet.de/arch-games/?

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

It's down temporarily and we're looking for a solution. We're still able to update packages and the mirrors are syncing, so pacman will continue to work if you use the archgames-mirrorlist package

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

We're still having issues with hosting. We have something lined up and we're getting it configured though. I'll add more info in the wave.

I've also set us up with an organization on GitHub: Arch-Games

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

Sorry if I do my noob but how do we use it? Because for the selfnet version I use this:

[arch-games]
Server = http://mirror.selfnet.de/arch-games/x86_64/

But what's the link for your server? I just found the git repo.

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

'Server = http://pseudoform.org/arch-games/games/i686' is fine too. I thing that arch-games are hosted on mirrors only atm, but if you want to host them, don't hesitate to contact Daenyth.

IIRC it was like that a couple times before. The mirrors are still up: http://pseudoform.org/arch-games/games/

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

Right now we have repo hosting for our mirrors only, they sync from the master and serve the files up. The site is not active currently. We're looking into options.

I would also like to announce that Jelle van der Waa (jelly12gen) is now officially one of the project co-leaders along with myself and Stythys. He's been our MVP and has kept the repo up to date. If you look at the project commits I'm sure you'll see just how hard he works. smile

Congrats Jelle!

Do you need hosting/webspace for the site? I'd gladly lend you some for free.

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

Hmm, when I looked at your packages at git the latest version of OpenLieroX was there, 0.58 rc3, but none of my mirrors:

Server = http://repo.archlinux-gaming.org/i686 #(Toronto, Canada. Primary mirror)
Server = http://pseudoform.org/arch-games/games/i686 #(Nürnberg, Germany. Maintainer: svenstaro)
Server = http://repo.exigen.org/arch/games/i686 #(Düsseldorf, Germany. Maintainer: s4msung)
Server = ftp://mirror.selfnet.de/arch-games/i686 #(Stuttgart, Germany. Maintainer: hrist)

seems to provide it. I tried commenting them out and tried the servers one at a time with -Syy but none gave me 0.58.

Re: The Archlinux Gaming Repository Project

I found the pkgbuild on your site and  downloaded it in hope of being able to compile it:

>>> compiling now, this could take some time ...
src/breakpad/external/src/common/linux/file_id.cc: In member function 'bool google_breakpad::FileID::ElfFileIdentifier(uint8_t*)':
src/breakpad/external/src/common/linux/file_id.cc:60:20: error: 'fstat' was not declared in this scope
>>> error(s) reported, check the output above
    Aborting...

I'm unsure whether I should report this in the bugtracker as these pkgbuilds ain't supposed to be installed and compiled by the end-user.
