Good afternoon!
I'm new here in the forum and also in the arch....
After a pacman-Syu my xorg does not rise and also the gdm?
I went into several files, but did not find anything different, it has to do with some daemons conf in the rc.d?
What should I do, because every time the exchange xorg version have some problem!

What nvidia card do you use? Show us the Xorg-log (located at /var/log/Xorg.0.log).

Yup, so it's either "vesa", "nv" or "nouveau" for you, as long as Nvidia doesn't update the legacy drivers.

It's all right now, because he had forgotten to rename the xorg.conf to xorg.conf.vesa ok.
How do I configure and run the vesa driver?

Those suggestions were in reverse order of preference. Try nouveau first, then nv, then vesa as a last resort.

If you really, really need 3d, nothing of those will really help.
Nouveau, does have 3d, but only basics, so nothing usable if u want to play games. (Though, KMS is quite nice)
Only working solution you have is to downgrade Xorg.
Look here for following packages:
libxi-1.2.1-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz
libxtst-1.0.3-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz
mesa-7.5.1-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz
xf86-input-evdev-2.2.5-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz
xf86-video-vesa-2.2.0-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz
xorg-apps-7.5-1.1-i686.pkg.tar.gz
xorg-server-1.6.3.901-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz
xorg-server-utils-7.4-7-i686.pkg.tar.gz
After downloading, install them with:
pacman -U *.pkg.tar.gz
and block their updates in /etc/pacman.conf with following line:
IgnorePkg = xf86-video-vesa xorg-server xorg-apps xf86-input-evdev mesa xorg-server-utils libxi libxtst
Again, this is not realy good solution (good one would be a driver that works with latest xorg-server), but this is a price and joy of having a nvidia card.

After uninstalled everything and install all these packages, everything is back to normal. Now pacman can no longer install the latest packages, and I hope that this problem of nvidia drivers will be resolved soon.
Thank you for your help
