[Solved] alsa sound seems to be broken after updating to hal 0.5.13-3
I hate when these things happen... I didn't tracked down the source of the problem, so I haven't send a bug report yet. I was so sad that I downgraded immediateley to hal 0.5.13-2. Problem solved (at least for now). lspci says that the audio device is: nVidia Corporation MCP65 High Definition Audio (rev a1). Anyone else have the same problem with this?

added your user to the audio group.
here is the explanation on why is happening with the new hal package:

I have same problem, but my user is already in the 'audio' group. Any suggestions?
