[Gnome] Cursor changes when it overrides qt applications

I use gnome desktop on Archlinux x86_64.
I noticed that sometimes when I pass my mouse over qt applications (like skype, smplayer, qtiplot,...) the cursor changes and it becomes the gnome default cursor. When I move my cursor over the desktop it returns what I have chosen.
I tried changing to other cursors but the result doesn't change.

Try to edit your ~/.Xdefaults and add

Xcursor.theme: foobar

obviously edit and specify you Xcursor theme according to your GNOME preferences.

What if you use an asterisk instead of period:

Xcursor*theme: oxy-viorange

Re: [Gnome] Cursor changes when it overrides qt applications

maybe edit:

/usr/share/icons/default/index.theme

have it read:

[Icon Theme]
Inherits=ATER-yellow

Same to local icons as well:

~/.icons/defaults/index.theme

I think what is happening is that the system reverts to default and doesn't know what the default is... if you specify maybe it will work.
