Hi!
I have this annoying bug: sometimes wen i press a key in a text editor (eg 'j') the letter continues to appear on the screen, (like 'jjjjjjjjj'). Also, this glitch crashed firefox once, when I pressed crtl+t to open new tab, firefox kept opening new tabs until it crashed.
Is this a keyboard glitch or archlinux bug? Has anyone encountered such problem too?

I was suggested this patch by JGC:

Too soon to tell if it works...

Have noted twice recently that the usb keybd stopped responding while posting an e-mail in thunderbird. Holding down any key produced multiple characters...using CAPS produced capital multiple characters. Single short key strokes did not produce a character.
The USB mouse continues to respond on the same USB channel.
Reboot provides no relief but keybd allows entry of password. The keybd does not respond when trying to e-mail following the selection of thunderbird. That is to say, the condition was not corrected by a reboot.
Solution to this difficulty was to remove the keybd USB connection and re-insert.
My system is 64 bit and intel945 with Pent4 cpu dual core.
Hoping this posting helps to narrow down the cause.......

I posted about this but the thread was about something else:

Again the keybd failed ...this time trying to enter selection in google window. This is just a few minutes ago.
Corrected by disconnecting usb keybd and reconnecting.

Problem resurfaced when addressing the terminal today.
Restored by USB re-insertion again.....

I have that too! I never thought this is a "real" bug but a bug regarding to my USB-to-PS/2 adapter
