Flickering notebook screen with intel graphics after upgrade

Hi there,

I upgraded my system yesterday, this included kernel26, xf86-intel, libgl, intel-dri, mesa and xorg-server. This is a hard combination to debug. The problem is that the laptop screen flickers randomly, every some minutes. Yesterday it even went white completely and i couldn't switch to the VTs or kill the xserver, I nedded to reboot. I already swiched acceleration from uxa to exa and uses xf86-intel-newest from AUR.

KMS seems to be enabled by defauĺt in 2.6.32, I still want to disable it b ecause it renders my brightness-keys useless (Samsung NC10).

But the problem persists. Anyone else expiriencing these issues?

Re: Flickering notebook screen with intel graphics after upgrade

Thank you, now I know that it comes from the kernel update. I went back to 2.6.31 and everything works fine again. So I'm  skipping kernel updates until .33 is in [testing].

I'm not sure if I should mark this solveld, a downgrade is no real solution IMO.
