[SOLVED] plasmoids that break KDE 4.4 and amarok not working

After upgrading to KDE 4.4, I couldn't get into the workspace. Plasma was segfaulting and all I was getting was a black screen (yakuake was working though). After removing smooth-tasks which I had installed from aur, everything worked fine. Also, I suspect that other plasmoids can break plasma. I got another random crash (plasma "rebooted" actually) while tampering with the settings of yasp. I simply removed it from the desktop and haven't got any crashes yet.
Also, amarok crashes with segfaults.
Other than that, KDE 4.4 really rocks.

I removed all third-party-plasmoids before upgrading and everything worked. I have no problems with amarok.

Try recompile Smooth tasks and other 3rd party plasmoids (solved problem for me).

Thanks, I will do that, but my main concern is amarok...Unfortunately, it segfaults a few moments after I start it.

I managed to start Amarok by renaming it's data folder:

mv .kde4/share/apps/amarok .kde4/share/apps/amarok.bak

(By the way, trying to rename a folder from Konqueror I found that right-clicking on any folder freezes Konqueror. Still investigating).

EDIT: Turns out that now Konqueror/Dolphin require Nepomuk to be enabled in order to work correctly. I enabled Nepomuk (but not strigi) and the freezes are gone.

Hm, I didn't want to delete my amarok home folder, as because of my collection history. So I have deleted some stuff like plugins, and disabled some services in config files and amarok home folder. Now it seems to run, ok. I hope.

Problem was solved after removing amarok's data folder.

Removing .kde4/share/apps/amarok/scripts fixed amarok for me.

After recompiling Smooth Tasks plasmoid Plasma Workspace works far more stable, but still there are some random crashes in very random moments. I guess those are also related to this plasmoid
