Skype crashing

Hi,

unfortunately skype won't work anymore. When I run skype I'm presented with the usual login screen. After I log in it crashes right before it would display the main window.

On the terminal it logs:

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-open.c: 611: _dl_open: Assertion `_dl_debug_initialize (0, args.nsid)->r_state == RT_CONSISTENT' failed!

I've tried both the normal and the staticqt version and behavior and error message are exactly the same.

I tried installing skype via AUR (bin32-skype[-staticqt]) as well as downloading it directly from skype.com.

I'm running an up-to-date 64bit Arch Linux.

Since Google won't help me much, I'm really at a loss here.

Re: Skype crashing

Following suggestions I found here (https://developer.skype.com/jira/browse/SCL-510) I removed lib32-pulseaudio and skype is running again.

The question now is, how would I get it to work with pulseaudio? And why does it crash in the first place?

Re: Skype crashing

I had the same Problem. Install Xorg and it works.
