I've been using OSS for a while and a couple days ago sound stopped working.
I'm not sure what I upgraded then, but I suspect that I upgraded udev.
I've tried reinstalling OSS, restarting it, unloading and reloading the module, and downgrading udev to 146-2.
Here is the output of ossmix:
Mixer device 0 has no functionality
Output of ossinfo:

I really like OSS and I don't want to switch back to ALSA.
EDIT: It seems that my soundcard isn't detected at all

It stopped working for me as well, but I don't have the same problem you do.
I don't know what is causing your problem, but perhaps vmix isn't running? Try this:
vmixctl attach /dev/dsp

OSS isn't detecting my soundcard at all. I tried using ALSA and alsaconf was unable to find my soundcard either.
I also installed kernel26-lts but I still have the same problem. I think that my problem either came from udev, or the move from klibc to busybox.
I installed udev-compat but that hasn't helped either. I can't downgrade because mkinitcpio depends on the newest udev.
The output to
vmixctl attach /dev/dsp
is
/dev/dsp: No such file or directory

Posting it all over the forums won't help your cause...

vaderixor, what is the name of your sound card?
Could you show output of "lshal" also?

Well, I see it's content in hwinfo log. So please skip this question.
The first one still matters.
As HAL doesn't see the card, I suggest you checking output of dmesg (soon after reboot).
This way you will check whether kernel detects / loads drivers for it.
If it doesn't, then kernel is to blame.
If it does, then probably HAL/UDev is the the culprit.
