Volume keys don't work

Hi everyone

a moment ago  i finally succeed installing gnome-settings-daemon-notify-osd [as you can see here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 6#p771946], then i rebooted mi pc, and now the volume keys don't work

i went to settings -> preferences -> keyboard, and checked that those keys were configured correctly, and they do... so i tried to start gnome-settings-daemon and it gave me this:

** (gnome-settings-daemon:5063): WARNING **: Failed to acquire org.gnome.SettingsDaemon

** (gnome-settings-daemon:5063): WARNING **: Could not acquire name

any ideas of whats going on?
