I have a strange issue with fresh Arch install.
I've downloaded the most up-to-date ISO image (dated 01.03.2024), checked the SHA256 sums (which matched), flashed to two different USB drives with balenaEtcher under Windows 11 (without any errors) and got the same result each time.
Any ideas what am I missing?
P.S. Secure Boot disabled!

"... being a Linux user is sort of like living in a house inhabited by a large family of carpenters and architects. Every morning when you wake up, the house is a little different. Maybe there is a new turret, or some walls have moved. Or perhaps someone has temporarily removed the floor under your bed."

Due to lack of any response to my thread I tried installing other Linux distros - without success!
When I've booted Manjaro I got the same error message as above with Arch ISO image, namely:
Initramfs unpacking failed: XZ-compressed data is corrupt
This is very strange. On the very same laptop I installed Arch about a year ago, since then there were couple UEFI updates. Now is it because of data corruption, XZ-compression or maybe new UEFI version is preventing Linux installation?
P.S. It's not about Linux - just tried Ubuntu 23.10, and it boots without major issues (apart some glitches due to nouveau driver I guess), even with Secure Boot enabled. The problem seems to be closely related to Arch and it's derivatives.

Just tried another Arch-based distro - this time EndeavourOS.
Very similar issue, installation process cannot be continued. What's going on?

Solution to my problem:
1) press "e" to edit kernel starting parameters
2) add entry" maxcpus=1 at the end
3) boot with F10
