I am using Google Chrome on Xfce. I installed Google Chrome from AUR and always updated the package via the following instructions:
git clone [package URL from AUR].
cd into newly created 'google-chrome' directory.
makepkg -si.
This time, when I ran the makepkg command I got this error message:
==> ERROR: Cannot find the debugedit binary required for including source files in debug packages.
Can you help me to fix this? Thank you in advance.

Either install debugedit or disable the debug option in your makepkg.conf.
Mod note: Moving to AUR Issues.

debugedit is part of base-devel, so you should have it installed anyway to build AUR packages: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_U … requisites
