Who has a laptop with AMD panel replay support and wants to help test?

Linux kernel 6.9 intended to enable AMD panel replay functionality, which should result in GPU power savings.
Unfortunately it did not work as intended, so it has been disabled before the stable release of kernel 6.9

AMD is looking for help from people who have a laptop that supports panel replay to find the root cause and to test.
To determine if your system supports panel replay, the following boot parameter needs to be set (temporarily).

drm.debug=0x04

If panel replay is supported, then there would be at least one mentioning in the kernel log (dmesg) stating more or less the following.

[    2.715737] [drm:amdgpu_dm_update_freesync_caps [amdgpu]] Panel supports Replay Mode: 1

In case your laptop does support panel replay and your are happy to help out, please leave a message in the issue report above.
