in gnome i cannot open images, at least png and jpg files. In The gnome viewer this is the error:
Bild konnte nicht geladen werden
d-bus error: i/o failed to read from socket
This did not happen on the non-hardened kernel!
my system:
uname -a
Linux archpc 6.7.11-hardened1-1-hardened #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Sun, 31 Mar 2024 14:40:52 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I don't know what could go wrong with simply opening pictures. I doubt the problem is related to the Linux kernel.
All your packages are synchronized with each other? Try this:
sudo pacman -Syu
sudo pacman -S gnome
sudo reboot
As for the picture, you can try to upload it to some third-party site.
Do you use GNOME as your desktop environment or you are using only Gnome Image Viewer?

Are there any related core dumps?

When i try with image viewer feh, it works.
But not with the gnome image viewer (loupe)
I try to open this via cli:

bwrap: No permissions to creating new namespace, likely because the kernel does not allow non-privileged user namespaces. On e.g. debian this can be enabled with 'sysctl kernel.unprivileged_userns_clone=1'.

Replace bubblewrap with bubblewrap-suid.

i confirm the problem is resolved by install bubblewrap-suid over bubblewrap.
same problem with gnome document viever (evince), when open pdf with default app evince, log:
bwrap: No permissions to creating new namespace, likely because the kernel does not allow non-privileged user namespaces. On e.g. debian this can be enabled with 'sysctl kernel.unprivileged_userns_clone=1
this problem is also gone when install bubblewrap-suid
can be marked as solved
Thanks

Mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
