Today, I tried to start a VM and my computer just froze and rebooted. I didn't see any kernel panic logs using journalctl -b -1 -k but I was able to obtain logs using netconsole.
I currently have virtualbox 7.0.18-1, virtualbox-host-modules-arch 7.0.18-1 and linux 6.8.9.arch1-1 installed.

[ 675.582666] Rebooting in 10 seconds..This is probably related to this bug, and according to VirtualBox changelog it was resolved in 7.0.18, but I didn't encounter this bug with earlier versions. Nevermind, it was for Windows hosts, although the guilty module seems to be the same.

May I suggest you run virtualbox-kvm from the AUR or from chaoric-aur? It's Virtualbox without the Oracle modules and using KVM as backend. Works perfectly fine with pre-existent VMs and it's totally open source.
Linux user since 1996. Currently running Arch on an I7 11th gen laptop with root on zfs with continuous snapshots and replication.
