I just installed ardour-2.0beta11.1 on a clean install of Arch, and get the following message:
error while loading shared libraries: libFLAC.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have FLAC installed (and in my path), so what is it looking for?
Thanks for any help.

submit a bug report. Meanwhile, you can rebuild it.

Submitted bug #6677. Downloaded source from svn, errors out when compiling libsndfile library on flac.c, go figure.
I'll submit a PKGBUILD to AUR when I can find a branch that compiles.

symlink libFLAC.so to libFLAC.so.7 for a quick fix.

Great idea! I symlinked /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.8.0.1 to libFLAC.so.7 and it works! Thanks!

I'm running Ardour2.0 beta12 with vst support with no issues.

It works in arch64 with this trick too.
