/var/run/gdm.pid doesn't exist, perhaps GDM isn't running
I'm getting this message when I'm trying to turn off deamon manualy. There is a file in /var/run/ called gdm.pim . It's started after gnome upgrade. What's wrong with this ?
Thanks for your help

Same here guys, I get it on shutdown.

Don't use the daemon startup method... Use init levels, it's the official linux way of doing it... Also you only have to comment two lines plus uncommenting 2 other in inittab....

Thanks for this. This is good enough to solve the Problem and seems to be a more "clean" way of starting arch.
