This must be the weirdest error I've ever seen on Arch. Unless my system has 'upgraded' itself to a 64 bit one overnight.

i dont know, if my problem could be related to this, but since the latest update, unzip doesnt work for me, gives me the error: "/usr/bin/unzip: /usr/bin/unzip: cannot execute binary file". btw, i have a regular 32 (x86 its called right?) bit system.

Figure there is a mixup in x86/x86_64 repo entries.
Mebbe we need to specify the opposite package to get the right one!!!!!!

The error has been fixed a couple of hours ago. You'll need to wait until your mirror sync.

I have been thought that just me have this problem,heihei.

You could have also solved this problem by building unzip from abs.
Offline
For future reference, you can always use:
$ pacman -Syu --ignore unzip
To ignore unzip until your mirror resyncs

Of course, but that's not the point. It ain't Gentoo after all? The point is the package ended up on the wrong repo. Unzip is not critical either, so...
But as was said above, I should have filed a bug about this, not mentioned here .
