I noticed that firefox directory changed from
/opt/mozilla/lib/firefox-X
to
/usr/lib/firefox-X
I wonder if I can delete whole
/opt/mozilla/

I wouldn't delete it - some packages may still install stuff there. Just wait until the packages are updated, and it'll go away on its own

o.k.
but folder will be deleted only if specific folder was not modified by user (added own files or modified existing files e.f. forms.css )
so in such case would be possible that pacman will generate short warning that specific folder is deprecated but could not be deleted?
this way user will know that it is time to manually delete directory.

On my testbox it looks like this
/opt/mozilla/lib/plugins:/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
/usr/lib/firefox-2.0.0.11/plugins
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

no problem,
I just wanted to know if it is possible to generate a message that whatever directory is deprecated.
Pacman will not delete directory with modified files when updating (which is good), but then I would like to know (each time when this happens) that modified directory is no longer used by system, so I can delete it.
