Aw crap. I'd better bump this thread before someone starts not feeling sorry for me.
The suggestion box only accepts patches.

Thinking about staying with Arch, because there is so much distributions and I am too lazy to choose, install, configure again. And I only really do not want to go back to Windows or Ubuntu or MEPIS.

Don't forget those " I left and nobody noticed, which really pissed me off. So I came back to complain about people on the {insert distro name here} board that were rude to me" folks.

Oh, right, there. I feel sorry for you. But, remember, a big Troll takes some time to fall, but when it falls, the Dwarfs and Elves party like is 1999.

We should all leave, but its hard to know where to :'(

Let's go make a new distro.
I want it KISS, as vanilla as possible, with an up-to-date rolling release system, no preconfigurations, options to easily install stuff from source, and a good and helpful community.
Ah, It'll be cool if the name starts with an A too.

What does not kill you will hurt a lot.

Let's leave computers and go outside. The sun is shining and I sit here and type. Too bad that no one accepts handwriting anymore (not that my handwriting would be decipherable in the first place...).

We should start a distribution called AYBABTU (All your base are belong to us). And make it like Arkane wants.
I think we should call it Aqueduct, they have a lot of arches in...

Better yet, it should be simple (KISS), light-weight, and include massive quantities of GUI front-ends and lots of misc features to aid the Linux noobie. I'm thinking here of like an installer GUI, a GUI pacman front-end, splash screen by default on startup, helpful yellow balloons that pop up in the corner helpfully informing you that its time to -Syu again, and a preconfigured ssh/sudoers/rc.conf , so that we all don't have to re-invent the wheel every time.

And of course, no keyboard. Who needs a keyboard when you have a mouse?
Have you Syued today?

Good idea. We'll make our own Xorg package with no keyboard drivers.

In addition let's make an EULA stating that after installing our OS you need to send us all keyboards you have at your house.

Indeed, keyboards are extremely anti-KISS. I wrote this message using mouse gestures, and it only took a half-hour. Plus 3 hours to configure the gestures. But it's so much nicer.

I feel sorry for neotuli because I am confident all the reasons he stated that make him enjoy Arch are going to stay forever, and so he will never see anything else
