What wireless USB do you use?

I'm going to buy a new wireless USB adapter and what I would like is for people to list their USB devices and drivers and how well they work in ArchLinux.

Re: What wireless USB do you use?

I have a d-link dwa-130...works flawlessly so far with ndiswrapper.

If you want a native linux driver for your adapter, this site might be of help: http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Devices/USB

Re: What wireless USB do you use?

Oh man, I can't believe I got it working...

I got an old LinksKey LKW-G750 wireless USB adapter and it works with the drivers on CD.  After installing the drivers with ndiswrapper an eth1 device popped up.

I'm so happy. tongue

Thanks for everyone who's helped me with this.

Re: What wireless USB do you use?

Edimax EW-7318USG Wireless Hi-Gain USB Adapter (apparently re-packaged and sold in USA as the Hawking HWUG1): uses Rt2x00 (legacy) rt73 driver which is easily compiled. Also, the RutilT configuration utility (from community repo) works great with it. (NB: I have to blacklist the rt73usb and rt2500usb modules in rc.conf to ensure there is no driver conflict)

Works with WEP and WPA too. wink
