After upgrading my system but ekiga doesn't start any more but only segfaults.
Ekiga itself was not upgraded, the only things that (in my opinion) could be related are the kernel (2.6.28-3 -> 2.6.28.1-1) and more suspicious x264 (20080625-1 -> 20090108-1).
Starting in debug mode results in this message:
dyna.cxx(111) H264 DYNA Successfully loaded 'libavcodec.so.52'
Speicherzugriffsfehler
(Speicherzugriffsfehler = segmentation fault)
Reverting the x264 package would mean to revert a bunch of others to, which i haven't any more in the cache...
I tried rebuilding the x264 package but it didn't help.
Anyone experienced the same error or got a working ekiga with the updated x264? Or any other things I could try or could be the source of the error?
Thanks!
titiwu

Did you look in AUR?
--EDIT--
By the way everyone, x264 had an .so bump in the last two revisions. So, upgrading x264 may require you to rebuild every program that you have that uses it.
