I'm trying to use virtualbox ( version 2.2) but everytime I start a virtual machine my computer just freezes. No error messages, no logs... nothing.
Do any of you guys know anything about this problem? Is it a known bug? Couldn't find about it on google
Thanks for your help!

I had a somewhat similar problem, where Virtualbox would randomly crash and reboot my system. Unfortunately I never did find out what was wrong, I couldn't find any error logs and Google had nothing, so I had to simply switch to VMWare. Not a great solution, but I couldn't think of anything else to do. I thought it might be bad RAM or something, but Virtualbox was the only program that did it, I was rather puzzled.

I get many freezes with nvidia+virtualbox.....
If i use Virtualbox I always remind magic sys-rq-keys.... thats the good side of it ^^

2.2.0 and nvidia are working fine here. It's probably going to be hard to diagnose without more information about your configuration.

Kinda "solved". Had to disable the VT extensions on the virtual machine :S
Now it seems to work fine...
Anyhow, my system:
Intel Core Duo T2400 (1,86Ghz)
HDA Intel
Wireles Intel 3945
Pro/100 WE network
80Gb 5400rpm Hard Disk
2,5Gb RAM
Archlinux kernel 2.6.29.1-4

Im having the same issue. It started with a recent kernal build. I also cannot run KVM with the extenstions enabled. Its quite odd as VMware esx will run ok with the VT extensions enabled. Also cannot find anything useful on Googles or on The Vbox forum. Currently running Vbox with the VT extenstions disabled.
