I know there have been some threads in the past about Notes, but they're really old. Has anyone succeeded in installing Notes 8.5? I want to use arch at work but Notes is kinda standing in the way

Hi,
i'm tried to install notes 8.5 too, but it did'nt really worked here. When i start notes, the configuration wizzard is shown by a single vertical line on my desktop, and when i press Alt F10 to maximize it, nothing happens. I also tried to install notes through wine. This worked, but when i try to get my email, notes hangs.

Hi!
I have the same problem with the configuration wizzard window showing as single vertical line (just tall & thin window, not resizable).
By using tab and enter to navigate within the window blindly it is possible to get further but then more corupt windows appear - this time jus black rectangles.
Suggestions are more than welcome! (:

did somebody solved this problem??
I got this problem with my Lotus 8.5 fresh installation. I believe this one is the problem with some missed library. Maybe somebody have successfully installed Notes to compare packages lists.

i have it installed on 2 machines and it works fine
if you have yaourt installed then just
yaourt -S lotus-notes-base
you need to have C1SP5EN.tar file ofcourse

Sorry to bring this back up but I'm not sure how to install this on arch. I've got the C1SP5EN.tar from my Passport but I'm not sure where to go from here. I can easily install it in a debian based linux but ARCH is new to me.
Thanks for your help!

Here's what I did...
yaourt -S rpm
rpm -ivh --nodeps <all notes rpms except symphony>
You might need Luxi fonts as well...
