as the topic says: my yaourt does not find *some* packages (it does well others). Currently I can say two examples: 'virtualbox_bin' and 'boxee'. Executing eg. 'yaourt boxee' returns with no output (so no match) - I have no more information about the issue at the moment.
I have a more or less stock arch64, updated regularly with 'yaourt -Suy --aur'. Not counting this very problem, my yaourt works flawlessly.. I have yaourt 0.9.2.5 installed. Any suggestions welcome!

You search with yaourt -Ss [pkgname], does that solve the problem?

No, it still looks like this:
kjozsa@walrus:~$ yaourt -Ss boxee
kjozsa@walrus:~$ yaourt -Ss virtualbox_bin
kjozsa@walrus:~$

Are you using some proxies or weird configurations for wget?

None at all.. and additionally, yaourt successfully upgrades my whole system every day or so, finds other packages, etcetc..

While you're waiting for a fix, use makepkg and pacman to build and install whatever you need - you might even learn something while you're doing it.

thanks, I know the way around I'm just wondering what the hell is going on here..

Ive had the same issue for a while too. Before i did not even have to EVER use -Ss with yaourt like $ yaourt kernel would also yield among the results kernel-git
Now i have to do yaourt -Ss kernel-git or just -S.

Sounds like the AUR updated at some stage and yaourt did not...

Run bugs.archlinux, org in another tab, so you can see the english original.
Just don't submit anything there....

I just tested (3 arch boxes) ... mine seems to be ok...
could I suggest a remove / reinstall?

Just guessing, but this appears to me as you did loose the local/servers database sync somehow.
Have you made sure the servers you use are up to date? Does it help to use another server?
(I have set up a chain of servers I trust in case some did not properly sync.)
Also, does a yaourt -Syy help? Or, perhaps try to clean up your local database before and then force a sync.
To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

none of this helps, I've tried all these before.. but I'm going crazy, it started to work now without trying any new tricks today.. huh?

Maybe mirrors you are using are not synced.
-try another server from /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

yaourt is using a mirror as well for AUR..? I thought only pacman does for its packages.. but well, this could explain it.
