Discussion about dhclient-3.1.2p1

This is related to the new dhclient version 3.1.2p1 which fixes the CVE-2009-0692 (https://www.isc.org/node/468).
If you have any issues with this release, please discuss it here.

I have done some changes to our PKGBUILD and remove some unecessary patches, so please test it carefully with your applications.

I actually can't install it at all.

error: could not prepare transaction
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
/usr/share/man/man3/omapi.3.gz exists in both 'dhclient' and 'dhcp'
/usr/share/man/man5/dhcp-eval.5.gz exists in both 'dhclient' and 'dhcp'
/usr/share/man/man5/dhcp-options.5.gz exists in both 'dhclient' and 'dhcp'
dhclient: /usr/share/man/man3/omapi.3.gz exists in filesystem
dhclient: /usr/share/man/man5/dhcp-eval.5.gz exists in filesystem
dhclient: /usr/share/man/man5/dhcp-options.5.gz exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

Something tells me I really shouldn't have them both on my system, though I feel uneasy about removing one or the other. I guess I'll try to find out what depends on them.

EDIT: And now I feel absolutely foolish; nothing seems to depend on them at all. Feel free to delete my foolish post.

I had something similar, just no "already exists".

Since dhcp is required by firestarter, I kept that and removed dhclient. Should I have done differently?

These files are wrong in the dhclient package and should be removed there. I will release a -3 package release this evening which fixes this.
