use "pacman -Syu"
got ":: vhba-module: require kernel26<2.6.31"
testing repo is enabled.

hmm, kernel 2.6.31 moved to core but vhba-module requires kernel26<2.6.31. Can someone please build a new vhba-module package?

Seconded

I notice this as well and posted a bug report here:

next time for packages that are in community, choose Community Packages projects before filling reports

Wonder,
I never enabled the AUR repository!
Perhaps I should have mentioned that I use chakra.
This package was installed automatically by the installer.
I wonder why this package is on my system if it is orphaned and I never enabled the community repository?
Dependencies are: vhba-module -> cdemu-daemon -> cdemu-client
I will try to remove cdemu-client and see what happens...
Perhaps one of the other persons who reported this bug here can shed some light...
[EDIT] I also asked in the chakra forum here: http://chakra-project.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?id=1550

@jwork123nl community != AUR. community is a binary repository which is enable by default in /etc/pacman.conf. AUR is not even a repository.
i just wanted to point out where to fill bugs for _community_ packages

@wonder: ok understood and thanks for the advice.
BTW in my /etc/pacman.conf the community repository is not enabled.
So perhaps your defaults are different from the defaults used by the chakra installer.
Anyway, I found out on the Chakra forum that the mentioned vhba-module package is necessary
for transparent mounting of ISO images. So I just deleted the relevant packages and could install the new kernel.
