After I update my system, all programs cannot display svg picture.
xfdesktop ,thuner and lxpanel failed to display any icon composed of svg.
gpicview faild to start and say it needed libjpeg7.
truecrypt claimed libpng12.
The version of libjpeg is 8 aind libpng is 14.
I tried to build libjpeg7 and libpng12 from aur but failed.
Interestingly, I rolled gcc back to lower version and the packages was built successfully.
But the two packages doesn't help.
Icons still doesn't appear.

Which version of gpicview are you using? If it's not the latest (0.2.1-2) you need to upgrade.
Good ideas do not need lots of lies told about them in order to gain public acceptance.

it is the latest version.
Strangely, xfdesktop, thunar and lxpanel doesn't display those svg icons ,too.
and all the packages are up to date.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

This has been a common problem over the past few days. Everything should now be using libpng14 and jpeg.8. The problem occurs if you have replaced something from the repos, e.g. cairo, with something from AUR, e.g. cairo-lcd, that provides the same thing. You have to update cairo-lcd because anything that depends on cairo (like gpicview) ends up indirectly depending on cairo-lcd's now-out-of-date dependencies.

You may need to reinstall gtk2 to get a correct /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders : http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=90333
