Hi ppl.
I solved almost all issues with my fresh install of Arch except sound in flash videos.
The problem is:
Sound works fine in Amarok.... listening to Mp3s...... movies work well too..... actually everythings working great except flash movies.
There is no sound in flash movies no matter what browser I use..... I tried Firefox, Konqueror and Chromium..... its not working.
Btw, KDEs notification system says that sound is not working after every login (Phonon component), but thats not true, because only flash movies have no sound.
So can you ppl help me to solve this ?
Thx

When I check Multimedias section on KDEs system settings it says HDA Intel (ALC272 Analog).
Also says:
It will try the following devices and use the first that works
1. ALSA: x-phonon
2. ALSA: plughw
3. OSS: /dev/dsp
4. OSS: /dev/audio

Well I am a newbie but this is the newbie section....
I solved it by installing phonon-xine and setting Xine as sound backend preference....
So, now everything works except annoying Phonon notification after every login....
I can turn off that notification..... its not a problem, but am I missing something ? Is the Phonon necessery for system.....maybee I can install some kind of replacement.

Phonon
Oh great - yet another sound server
We already have one - ALSA. People keep trying to screw it up by mixing it with the old OSS, and then wonder why they have no sound.

Hi Everybody,
I'm using Alsa and having the same problems. After some reading ,also the links Mr Brebs suggesting, no effect. I'm still having no sound in my flash video's in Firefox, Chrome and Konqueror. Amarok, Mplayer and systemsounds are working.
Kan you help me?
Cheers,
