It works well until I reinstalled Gnome and removed ~/.configure/gnome-session(probably irrelivent..). Now whenever I start it in terminal, it complains:
VirtualBox: supR3HardenedMainGetTrustedMain: dlopen("/opt/VirtualBox/VirtualBox.so",)
failed: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I think a reinstall could solve the problem but I already have two working guests on it...
Anyone has an idea? Thanks!

I would do a search for the file libGLU.so.1 to see if it exists on your system. If it does, I would try to find out where virtualbox is looking for it and symlink it there. If it does not, I would google to find what package supplies this file. Hope that helps. I use virtualbox but have not seen this problem. If you do need to reinstall, I don't think you would loose your clients unless you delete the config folder in your home directory.

A reinstall shouldn't mess with the guests, since they are on different places.
I am using virtualbox from the AUR, not virtualbox-ose but it should be the same in what concerns the guests.
In any case to be sure you could always copy them somewhere else, but I don't think its necessary, just reinstall
over the old installation, that is, without uninstalling.

Hi, empthollow and Mektub, thanks you two. I reinstall VirtualBox, and the problem is still there; so I googled and it seems "mesa" and "libgl" are the two relevent packages. After reinstalling these two packages, my VirtualBox(and two guests) comes back!
It's a good start for the weekend!
