Hey, I just came back to Arch for a while, and when I was installing it, everything was fine, except when I tried to change the icon of my profile.
For some reason it doesn't apply, it's just blank, and checking the file in /var/lib/AccountsService/icons, it's blank, and no error logs while running gnome-control-center in verbose with or without sudo...
Any fix for this or did I miss a package during setup? (I used archinstall btw, hope that it doesn't bother too much knowing the community)

no error logs
Hmm. See:
-and-
• https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-co … ssues/3402
with...sudo...
Don't do that.

Yeah, I already checked those, but in my case the settings doesn't crash when adding a profile pic.
I was able to add my profile pic by replacing the blank file with the image I wanted with the terminal, so yeah
I already sent the issue in Gnome's Gitlab just in case.

Well, you should have mentioned all of that initially instead of wasting people's time here.
Having read the other thread, you could have provided the related info that could help...GPU/drivers, X11 or Wayland.., etc.
And, you provided zero log output.
Launch g-c-c with the following command, try setting a custom avatar, and post the full output using

tags.
GSK_RENDERER=ngl G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all gnome-control-center
If this is indeed a separate issue from the other thread/issue we need to know why it's different when the same component is failing.

Ok dude but chill, I haven't used Arch in a long while tbh, and when I used it I had KDE instead of Gnome, oddly enough I didn't have this issue in Gnome 47. (Sorry if I offended you a bit, I don't wanna sound mean in this comm)

Well I don't see any errors when I changed the profile pic, just a warning:
20:58:24.1026 cc-window[18304]: WARNING: Could not find settings panel "GSK_RENDERER=ngl"
Just in case here's my specs:
