I also used the different versions, but so far also no success. The latest makes it worse, whereas the previous version seems to limit the failures.

libinput-git doesn't work for you? And you're also had/are having this problem w/ the 1.28 versions?

Today's update seems to have fixed the problem for me. No more getting stuck in scroll mode. Also, double-tap doesn't have the periodic failure any more (where either nothing happened or the pointer jumped instead of performing the double-tap action).

My laptop is Dell XPS 9310. Hope it's fixed for everybody.

Yesterday I whiped off everything and started with a fresh install.

So far, no issues occured, even with
❯ libinput --version
1.29.2
